【Project Background】

The project is located on an artificial island in a lagoon along the Adriatic Sea coast in northeastern Italy, Venice. The local water network is dense, but transportation is inconvenient.

 

Connecting style: blending local elements

The Swan Boat Floating Bridge has a total length of 153 meters and is designed as a whole; Swan” As an ideology, it symbolizes the Venetian characteristics of purity, unwavering loyalty, indomitable spirit, and lofty aspirations. The color scheme of the boat adopts a refreshing sky blue and flawless pure white (meaning: pure and noble), with local embellishments of fiery red (meaning: through continuous effort, refinement, and change, one can become outstanding and transform into a phoenix bathed in fire).

 

Floating bridge function: pedestrian and vehicle passage

The standard cross-sectional layout of the bridge deck of the Swan Boat Floating Bridge is 2m (pedestrian walkway)+2m (bicycle lane)=4m, divided into two linear sections for cycling and slow walking, with various scenarios and atmospheres interwoven on the bridge deck.
