Zhaoqing Qixingyan Scenic Area renovation and upgrading

Qixingyan Scenic Area is one of the first batch of national key scenic spots and an AAAA level scenic tourist area. The scenic area is located about 4 kilometers north of Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. The scenery is characterized by; Peak danger, unique rocks, peculiar caves, ancient temples; And renowned for it. The scenic area mainly includes Xinghu Lake and seven mountain peaks, which are like the Big Dipper scattered in the lake, hence the name. Xinghu Lake is vast in smoke and waves, with a total area of 6.49 million square meters and a lake embankment of over 20 kilometers. The National Sports Commission has built a rowing base on the lake.

Engineering purpose:

1. The Qixingyan Scenic Area belongs to the category of; Urban Scenic Area; Integrate with urban parks.

2. In accordance with the general regulations of Xinghu Lake; Returning the Lake to the People; The strategy suggests narrowing the fee area and increasing the openness of the Seven Star Rock scenic area.

3. Change people's rigid idea of using paid access control as the entrance to scenic spots, eliminate the barriers between scenic spots and cities, improve the public nature of Qixingyan Scenic Area, and increase the happiness of the people.

Designer's proposal:

The designer suggests adding a boat dock in Yanqian Village, next to Bohai Park, south of the railway station square, and at the northern end of Langfeng East Road. Large boat routes with both transportation and sightseeing functions should be designed in Bohai Lake, Central Lake, and Qinglian Lake, while a purely sightseeing small boat route should be designed in Xiannv Lake.

The Bohai Park and the pier at Yanqian Village have transfer functions, enabling the conversion of large boats to small boats; It is suggested to renovate the bridge openings of Bohai Bridge and Shuiyue Bridge to accommodate the passage of large ships.

Boutique Tour Line‐ — 360 degree tour around the lake

A: Utilize the South Gate Pier, Bohai Pier, North Gate Pier, Shigang Pier, Red crowned Crane Island Pier, East Gate Pier, and Yanqian Pier to form a water sightseeing route around the lake.

B: Make full use of the open Shuiyue East West Dike and Baizhangdi Road of the central dike to connect the memorial archway Square and Yanqian Leisure Area to form a land night tour route of Seven Star Rocks, and create a night tour star lake system in combination with the cruise ship dock.
