Nanchong Jialing River Landscape Floating Bridge

Project honor: Won the "Annual Excellent Landscape Design. Municipal Landscape" award in the 9th International Landscape Planning and Design Competition in 2019

The floating bridge is divided into two sections, connecting the east and west banks to integrate Jiangxin Island with the banks of Jialing River. The upper section of the floating bridge is about 530m long, the lower section is about 540m long, and the average width is about 5m. The Shangzhongba Ecological Wetland is located in the core of Nanchong's main urban area, creating a good ecological wetland resource to enhance the city's level and taste, and meet the leisure needs of the masses.

Floating bridge designer:The design inspiration mainly comes from the local historical and cultural heritage of Jialing River in NanchongThe Intangible Cultural Heritage of Nanchong City; Jialing River Boatman's Number;The gradually distant sound of trumpets on the Jialing River is the crystallization of the wisdom left by the hard work of the past boatmen, and the imprint of history stuck on the Jialing River. This spirit of striving for life will be forever passed down in the Jialing River culture of Nanchong, and will continue to thrive. The purpose is to inherit and protect the intangible cultural heritage of Jialing River in Nanchong, calling on everyone to pay attention to traditional culture, the memory of this city, and respect for the older generation who have made arduous contributions.
