        On May 11th, the Zhuhai Waterfront Yacht Industry Planning Demonstration and Investment Negotiation Conference was held at the Zhuhai Resort Hotel, where yacht industry experts, yacht enterprise executives, and investment institution representatives from home and abroad gathered to discuss accelerating the development of Zhuhai's yacht industry. Experts unanimously believe that Zhuhai should fully leverage its natural coastal advantages, utilize its geographical advantages adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, learn from advanced urban experiences at home and abroad, and coordinate the development of yacht consumption, leisure, and tourism industries.

        The above 5 international experts have also been invited to serve as international consultants for the planning of the waterfront yacht industry in Zhuhai. He Ningka issued certificates to them.

 

Building a waterfront ocean smart city

        Zheng Xiaoping introduced in his keynote speech that the development concept of the yacht industry needs to be updated, and in the future, the yacht industry should do business for the middle class; We firmly believe that China's yacht market is not in the high-end yacht market, but should be ordinary people taking their families and children on weekend yacht trips. ”

        He believes that the development of the yacht industry in Zhuhai has unique natural advantages, shoreline advantages, industrial advantages, and supporting advantages. The Plan provides a detailed exposition on the development trends of yachts both domestically and internationally, the industrial foundation and resource conditions of Zhuhai, and case analysis of high-quality waterfront industries. It clarifies that the next step will be to build a foundation, cultivate the market, improve the industry, integrate resources, manage finance, and innovate marketing through six development paths, in order to develop Zhuhai into China's most waterfront ocean characteristic smart city, one of the most livable environmentally friendly waterfront cities in Asia, and an international level high-quality waterfront area. The 'Plan' also proposed dozens of specific projects and suggestions for the implementation of the plan.

 

Refine the planning and set goals

        Li Jia, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, stated that Zhuhai is a city named after the sea, beautiful, romantic, and happy because of the sea. Zhuhai has unique and favorable conditions for the development of the yacht industry, and the insights of experts provide good reference and inspiration for the development of the yacht industry in Zhuhai. He hopes to have more extensive, deeper, and long-term cooperation with experts. In the next stage, based on the expert opinions on the development of the waterfront yacht industry in Zhuhai, the special plan will be further refined, and three-year, five-year, and ten-year development goals will be formulated to promote coordinated development between the main city and islands, as well as between Zhuhai and regions such as Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and Southeast Asia. Efforts will be made to make Zhuhai one of the most distinctive places in China or Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao's yacht industry within 5-10 years.

        Vice Mayor Wang Qingli introduced that there are currently 25 yacht manufacturing enterprises in Zhuhai. With the completion and opening of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, the development prospects of Hengqin New Area are infinitely promising, and the yacht industry in Zhuhai has ushered in unprecedented development opportunities.
